Little of the cars early history is known, it is believed to have been owned by a Mr. Huntley from 1984 to 1998 when he sold the car with the House of Maserati in Sydney, Australia to a Bob Burnes who carried out an initial body restoration before selling in early 2012 to a Maserati collector who completed an engine rebuild. In 2014, Oldtimer Australia purchased the car and enlisted Autodelta to compile a full inspection and rectify any minor issues before servicing, Oldtimer Australia then sold the car to our vendor, a successful collector and businessman in aviation who is the current custodian of a modest collection of classic cars.

Bought BLIND from a 2021 Silverstone auction, this iconic car came to us from an existing client who previously commissioned us to build an e-type convertible which now lives out in the south of France.

We gave it a full mechanical, paint and interior review. The temperature for cooling needed uprating so we installed one-off set cooling fans, new radiator and new thermostats which resolved all issues.

There was a small issue with the fuel tank which we had tested and fixed. New pump filters and lines were installed and we replaced the throttle cable to make more efficient. We fixed the electric rear windows and realigned the doors so they shut perfectly.

The car is due to come back to us at some stage, once the owner has had time to enjoy it, as there are a few minor paint issues that need rectifying.
